Our ministry to neurodiverse children and their families is a natural outpouring of Jesus' message to love others. Through this ministry, we desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to families that often feel alone and neglected. We are a community of learners who are in awe of the beautiful diversity of humanity.  As people motivated by the love of Jesus in our lives, we desire to model this love by providing support and opportunities for families with neurodivergent children to worship and grow.

What is neurodiversity?
Neurotypical brains are those that function in ways that most people are used to. Neurodiverse brains include those that do not fall under neurotypical. Examples of this include ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and Tourette's syndrome. At Silver Creek Family Church, we desire to create a community that honors and values all brains.
What resources are available to my neurodiverse child?
Through the help of neurodivergent members of our church and their families we have put together a sensory room that we call The Nest. This room provides a safe space for Neurodivergent children to grow and have fun in a way that fits their individual needs. It is important that we provide a space that meets your child's needs and we encourage you to reach out so we can know how to best prepare this space for your child.
What resources are available to my family?
In the near future, we will be hosting an ongoing support and resourcing group for families with neurodiverse children.
What type of training have your volunteers gone through?
All of our children's volunteers go through extensive training and background checks. We provide ongoing training on the needs of neurodiverse children and their families through workshops hosted for the entire church. We understand that every child is different and strive to learn more about each child's individual needs.
